Carol,
Thank you for choosing a locally owned and operated Mama's Deli. Posted on our front window is the following regarding Gluten free:MAMA’S DELI IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE WE HAVE GLUTEN-FREE ITEMS.
We’re delighted to offer our full sandwiches served on Gluten-Free bread at no additional charge.
Suggested soups: Broccoli Cheddar and Lobster Bisque. Suggested sides: Cottage Cheese, Beets, Side Salad (less the croutons), and Chick Pea Salad.

We strive to do our best at all times when it comes to safety. However, our kitchen does not have a gluten-free area. It is not possible to completely avoid cross-contamination.
Please rely on your personal decisions when ordering Gluten-Free or consult a licensed dietician.

Sincerely,
Lynn

Several times I have got your gluten free sandwiches and soup. They are good and I appreciate you having GF options. The last couple times though, I have had problems with the sandwich. I get symptoms (bloating) of gluten almost immediately and then other consequences of eating gluten the day or two after. Even though you are using gluten free bread, I'm wondering what your practices are in the kitchen. For instance using the same part of the grill that gluten bread was on, leaves crumbs and residue and well as cutting boards, knives, etc. Can you tell me if you have gluten free procedures, as well as ingredients? I really want to keep coming there, but I don't think I can until I find out what is causing the gluten contamination. Thanks.
